Why have a Thai foot massage at Therapy House?
If you are currently suffering from symptoms such as constipation, asthma, cystitis, headaches and migraine, or sinusitis, then a Thai foot massage is the ideal treatment.
By stimulating specific reflex points that correspond to your internal organs, Thai foot massage can improve your circulation, stimulate lymphatic drainage to help remove toxins from your body, boost your immune system, reduce stiffness, and improve your sleep and relaxation.
- Relieves tension & reduces fatigue
- Improves your overall sense of wellbeing & tranquillity
- Boosts your circulation & immune system
- Helps eliminate toxins from your body
- Stimulates your internal organs
Thai foot massage dates back more than 5,000 years and is said to stimulate the internal organs and be extremely beneficial for health as a result. It involves light stretching and massage of the feet, lower legs and the hands too, working the reflex points and following the Thai energy lines. It may help to relieve symptoms of constipation, asthma, cystitis, headaches and migraine, and sinusitis.
As we’ve outlined in the intro above, Thai foot massage can bring about a number of positive changes within your body, boosting your circulation, removing toxins and improving your immune system.
The massage itself is incredibly relaxing and can be a fantastic way to unwind and take some time out from the demands of everyday life. You should leave the treatment with an overall sense of wellbeing.
Before we begin your Thai foot massage, your therapist will talk to you about your current health and wellbeing. You’ll then be asked to lay down and relax, fully-clothed apart from your shoes and socks, on a massage table. The therapist will use carefully selected creams or oils to massage your feet and lower legs. They will also use a Thai foot massage stick to gently stimulate the reflex points in your feet.
As with all of the holistic treatments offered at Therapy House, there is no ‘should’ in terms of how often you have a treatment. A single massage can have many benefits, but many of our clients choose to make Thai foot massage a regular feature of their calendar.
