Side effects following IV Therapy are rare and tend to resolve following cessation of the treatment. However, they can include:
- Irritation to the vein when the IV cannula entered the body
- Low blood pressure
- Low blood sugar
- Headaches/fatigue for 24 hours post-treatment
- Muscle cramps or weakness
- Arm pain at the infusion site
- Dizziness
- Light-headedness
Many people find that they are able to prevent these side effects by making sure that they are well hydrated and have eaten before their IV Therapy appointment.
