Side effects following IV Therapy are rare and tend to resolve following cessation of the treatment. However, they can include:

  • Irritation to the vein when the IV cannula entered the body
  • Low blood pressure
  • Low blood sugar
  • Headaches/fatigue for 24 hours post-treatment
  • Muscle cramps or weakness
  • Arm pain at the infusion site
  • Dizziness
  • Light-headedness

Many people find that they are able to prevent these side effects by making sure that they are well hydrated and have eaten before their IV Therapy appointment.
